Your efforts to troubleshoot on this issue is really appreciated. Sorry to know that Sandisk SSD Read圜ache has stopped working after installing Build 9879. Thank you for posting your query in the Microsoft Communities. I think I need to reboot and investigate some more.
The Properties of the Sandisk Read圜ache SSD are :Īt one point I found a cacheing option in the Microsoft drivers for the SSD, However now I don't see it. This seems to indicate that the task manager is working for the SSD, which I take to mean that there is something wrong with cacheing. The only problem with that theory is that about every 10 seconds IĭO SEE A SMALL AMOUT OF ACTIVITY in taskmanager for Disk 2. Not seeing activity on the SSD (Disk 2) would make me wonder if the Taskmanager is perhaps not reporting anything on Disk 2, Since it is a hidden device acting as a Cache, rather than a drive. I've tried writing several large new files to C: and see no activity on the SSD.ĭespite heavy activity (reading) on C:, nothing shows up in Taskmanager for Disk 2 Page File: No - NORMAL Since this is used as a cache for drive C: this disk has no visible files.Īctive times, read speeds, Write speeds are all 0's When Writing NEW files to C: this drive should be written to, but it is not. It shows no activity when opening and closing large programs repeatedly.įormatted: 0MB - NORMAL (this drive would never show up in Windows Explorer) attempting to close the installer results in this:ĭisk 2 is the Sandisk Read圜ache.
The setup gets to the step where it installs the drivers, proceeds to 100% on the progress bar, then sits at 100% for several hours, and goes back to 0%. Uninstalling Read圜ache and the SSD drivers, rebooting and running the newest ReadCache setup resulted in this: The Sandisk Read圜ache monitor showed that nothing was being read from the SSD Cache. I notice my system boot was slower and slow to launch programs after Build 9879.
